ESSEC MiM Admissions: Requirements, Deadlines and Interview for 2027
ESSEC MiM admissions for international graduates run through the "admission with degree" route into the ESSEC Grande Ecole programme. You need a bachelor's degree, a management test score, an English test and a convincing 45-minute interview. ESSEC describes the process as highly selective, and the programme ranked 10th in the Financial Times Masters in Management ranking 2025.

What is the ESSEC Master in Management and who is it for?
The Master in Management (MiM) is ESSEC's flagship Grande Ecole degree, recognised by the French Ministry of Higher Education with the Master's grade. It suits graduates who want a broad management education with room to specialise. About 35% of the class is admitted with an international degree, students come from 50+ nationalities, the average age is 23 and half the class are women.
You choose one of two tracks when you apply:
| Feature | Flexible Track | Intensive Track |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 2 to 3 years | 1 year |
| Campus | Cergy or Singapore | Cergy only |
| Experience | 8 months during studies | 6 months before entry |
| Curriculum | Up to two-thirds elective, 50+ specialisations | Pre-structured |
The Intensive Track starts at the end of August. All Singapore tracks are taught in English. In Cergy, some tracks are in French, and students who do not speak French take a mandatory French course.
ESSEC Master in Management requirements
- Degree: a bachelor's degree. Final-year students can apply with an enrolment certificate and submit the diploma by mid-December of the starting year.
- Management test: GMAT or GRE (valid five years), TAGE MAGE (two years) or, for Indian applicants, CAT (one year). There is no published ESSEC MiM GMAT minimum; ESSEC asks for a competitive score. Our GMAT guide explains how to plan your preparation.
- English test: TOEFL iBT 95, IELTS Academic 6.5, Cambridge B2 First 175 or TOEIC 850, unless you completed three or more years of higher education fully in English.
- Documents: a one-page CV, authenticated transcripts and two recommendations (ideally one academic and one professional). Intensive Track applicants also upload proof of employment.
ESSEC MiM deadlines and application process for 2027 entry
ESSEC MiM deadlines for the 2027 intake (noon, Paris time) are:
- Round 1: 7 October 2026 (closed)
- Round 2: 26 November 2026
- Round 3: 17 February 2027
- Round 4: date to be confirmed
You apply online, pay a €180 application fee and wait for shortlisting. Shortlisted candidates take the ESSEC MiM interview: a 45-minute videoconference in English that explores your personality, your values and how well your professional project fits the programme. Admitted students sign a contract and pay a €6,000 deposit within two weeks. You can apply to one track only, and the committee may move an Intensive applicant to the Flexible Track.
ESSEC MiM tuition and career outcomes
ESSEC MiM tuition is listed on the programme's financing tab. According to L'Express Education's June 2026 fee survey, the admission-with-degree route cost roughly €49,400 for EU students and €57,200 for non-EU students for 2026 entry. Fees change every year, so confirm the figure for your intake.
ESSEC's latest published outcomes are strong: 98% of graduates entering the workforce find a job within six months, 89% receive an offer before graduating and 64% work in international roles. Consulting, engineering and ICT take 34% of graduates, and management, finance, trading and insurance another 33%.
How to stand out in ESSEC MiM admissions
- Choose your track honestly. The Intensive Track rewards a clear goal and real experience. If you still want to explore, the Flexible Track's internships, exchanges and 11 international double degrees serve you better.
- Apply in Round 2 or 3. It leaves time for a second test attempt and keeps a later round in reserve.
- Prepare for coherence. The interview tests whether your story, values and target career fit together. Practise explaining why management, why ESSEC and why now.
- Pick your campus for your career. Singapore makes sense if you plan to work in Asia.
