A Groundbreaking Collaboration from 2023
The “Data, Society and Organisations” program is an exciting three-year double degree offered through a partnership between Bocconi University and HEC Paris. With just 50 to 60 spots available, this unique program blends social sciences and quantitative methods, featuring courses in computer science and data analysis.
Students will enjoy a dynamic learning experience, spending three semesters at Bocconi and another three at HEC Paris. By the end, they’ll proudly hold two Bachelor’s degrees—one from each prestigious institution. This program allows students to immerse themselves in diverse international environments, preparing them for Master’s programs in fields like data science, social sciences, management, and public policy.
What makes this Bachelor’s program particularly special is that it represents a fresh direction for HEC Paris, which has traditionally focused on its “grande école” pathway and the “prépa” route. The introduction of this program in 2023 is a significant step away from that tradition. While it’s different from the Bachelor in Management at ESCP and the BBAs at ESSEC, EDHEC, and EMLyon, it intentionally emphasizes areas outside of management to ensure a smooth transition in focus for the school.
Just a heads up—the selection process for this program is quite competitive! The admissions team tends to look more closely at academic accomplishments and extracurricular activities rather than just entrance exam scores, which are typically the main focus for Bocconi’s traditional Bachelor’s programs.
Your Application Calendar — Mark These Dates!
The application process for the HEC-Bocconi Bachelor’s degree is organized into a friendly timetable with two sessions to help you plan ahead.

Just a friendly reminder: if a student doesn’t get accepted this time, they can always try again for the next session!
Start Strong: What You Need to Submit First
To put together your administrative file, here’s what you’ll need to do:
1. Fill in all your personal details—easy peasy!
2. Upload a copy of your passport or identity card.
3. Share your 10th and 11th grade report cards.
4. Don’t forget to upload your CV in English.
5. Write a cover letter in English that follows the Bocconi guidelines and share it with us!
6. Make sure to register for the Bocconi Online Test or send us your SAT or ACT results.
7. If you have any extra documents that might strengthen your application, feel free to upload those too!
Just a friendly reminder: you don’t need to provide an English test report right now, but if your application is accepted, you’ll need to submit it later to confirm your admission.
The Test That Counts Most (And Why Bocconi’s Is Usually Your Best Bet)
To complete your application, you’ll need to share your scores from one of three tests: the Bocconi Test, SAT, or ACT. These results play a big role in the admissions process, making up 55% of the decision!
Usually, if you’re not aiming for American universities, we recommend the Bocconi Test. It’s specially designed to be easier and quicker to prepare for compared to the SAT or ACT. Plus, unlike other European BBA admissions tests like ESADE or IE, the Bocconi Test isn’t broken into sections.
You’ll have 75 minutes to complete it, answering a total of 50 multiple-choice questions. Most questions have five answer choices, but the “Critical Thinking” (Textual Logic) questions offer three choices for the right answer.

Just a quick heads-up about the scoring for the upcoming test. Each correct answer gives you 1 point, so you can score a total of 50 points. If you choose not to answer a question, it won’t affect your score at all, but keep in mind that wrong answers do carry a small penalty—0.2 points for most questions and 0.33 points for the “Critical Thinking” ones, which have three options.
Also, it’s important to note that if your score is below 17 out of 50 when you submit, you’ll need to try again, as you’ll be disqualified. But don’t worry! You have three attempts to get it right across all sessions.
You can take the Bocconi Test anytime from July 10, 2025, to April 2, 2026, except during these short breaks:
- August 1 to 25, 2025
- September 26 to October 6, 2025
- December 20, 2025, to January 1, 2026
- January 23 to February 4, 2026
Kira Assessment: Your Moment to Shine on Camera

The Kira Assessment is the last step in your admissions process, and we’re excited for you to complete it! This test will take about 20 to 30 minutes, and you’ll be in front of your computer answering four questions—all by yourself (no examiner present). Here’s what you can expect:
- Give examples of your greatest academic strength and most challenging academic weakness.
2- Based on your academic interests, what have you done to explore global and political themes?
3- If you were called upon to solve a social organizational problem, which area of interest would you identify first (education, health, climate etc)? What innovative idea would you like to implement?
4- What has been your greatest academic challenge? Why? How have you overcome this challenge?
Your answers will be recorded on video and sent to examiners, so make sure to put your best foot forward! Plus, you’ll have the chance to practice with some “blank” questions before the actual test begins. Just a friendly reminder: once the real test starts, you’ll only have one more chance to respond, so be prepared.
