What has changed at ESCP in the past five years?

Rankings. ESCP rose from 5th to 4th in the FT European Business School ranking in 2025, its fourth year running in the top five. Its MBA climbed from 27th in the 2023 FT Global MBA ranking to 22nd in 2026, and its Master in Finance topped the FT ranking every year from 2023 to 2026. Poets&Quants named ESCP its 2025 Business School of the Year.

Leadership. Léon Laulusa became dean in 2023 and led the new strategy. He stepped down in summer 2026, and Thomas Jeanjean, previously Deputy CEO for Education at CCI Paris Île-de-France, became Executive President and Dean in August 2026.

Technology and AI. ESCP was one of the first business schools to pilot ChatGPT Edu, and it partners with Hugging Face, co-founded by ESCP alumnus Clément Delangue.

Programmes. New options include a Bachelor in Politics, Economics and Management with Sciences Po and a Global Master in Management with CEIBS in China. The MSc in Big Data and Business Analytics is now the MSc in Business Analytics & AI.

Where is ESCP Business School headed?

The ESCP strategic plan, Bold & United (2026 to 2030), was unveiled in June 2025. It aims to turn ESCP into a European University of Management with three parts: the business school as its academic core, an ESCP School of Technology opening in 2027 (AI, data and emerging technologies) and an ESCP School of Governance planned for 2029 (geopolitics, public affairs and international law).

Targets for 2030 include more than 12,000 students from over 150 nationalities, 300 professors and at least four new MSc degrees, one in business in the space industry. ESCP is also investing more than €300 million in its campuses, including around €150 million for its historic Paris République site, according to Poets&Quants. The new ESCP dean's mandate is to launch both new schools, strengthen research and expand the six-campus model.

What this means for applicants

  • Choose your ESCP campuses with your target job market in mind: a year in Berlin or Madrid builds a local network.
  • Judge the programme, not only the school: finance and the Executive MBA rank among the world's best, while the MBA is still climbing.
  • Ask at info sessions how the new schools will affect your programme.
