ESCP Master in Finance Admissions: Requirements and 2027 Deadlines

ESCP Master in Finance admissions are open to graduates with a bachelor's degree of at least 180 ECTS and proof of English, followed by an interview with the academic director and finance professionals. The programme, officially the MSc in Finance, ranked first in the world in the Financial Times Masters in Finance ranking every year from 2023 to 2026, so competition for places is strong.

What is the ESCP MSc in Finance and who is it for?

The ESCP MSc in Finance is a pre-experience master's for graduates aiming at investment banking, markets or corporate finance. It lasts 15 months full-time, or two years if your first degree has fewer than 240 ECTS (the longer path adds foundation courses in Paris and an internship semester). Depending on your previous studies, you start in July or October.

You study in Paris first and then in London, with about 15 weeks on each campus, before an internship of at least four months. Teaching is in English and French, and you choose one of three tracks:

  • Corporate Investment Banking: IFRS, M&A, debt and equity capital markets, and banking modelling.
  • Financial Markets: portfolio management, fixed income, structured products, trading, Python and VBA.
  • Global Track: taught entirely in English.

All tracks include a compulsory sustainability seminar.

The ESCP Master in Finance ranking is its strongest selling point: according to ESCP, the 2025 FT ranking also rated it among the best for alumni network, career services and overall satisfaction.

ESCP Master in Finance requirements

  • A bachelor's degree with at least 180 ECTS; final-year students apply with an enrolment certificate.
  • An English score (TOEFL, TOEIC listening and reading, or IELTS) from the last two years. No minimum is published.
  • Transcripts for the past two years, a CV, passport or ID and a photo.
  • Two reference letters, which ESCP strongly recommends.

The programme page does not list the GMAT or GRE as a requirement, so your transcripts carry most of the weight in showing quantitative ability.

Application process and ESCP Master in Finance deadlines for 2027

Tuition and career outcomes

ESCP Master in Finance fees for the 2027 intake total around €32,800 (core courses €17,500, the finance specialisation €12,400 and €2,900 of additional fees), with the same price for European and non-European students. A supplement applies if your degree has fewer than 240 ECTS, travel and housing are extra, and fees change each year.

According to ESCP, FT data for 2025 showed 100% of graduates employed within three months. Recruiters listed by ESCP include Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, UBS, BNP Paribas, Citi, Lazard and Rothschild.

How to stand out in ESCP Master in Finance admissions

  • Prove your quantitative readiness. Highlight strong grades in maths, statistics, accounting or economics, and any modelling or coding projects.
  • Choose your track deliberately. Investment banking and markets interviews differ, and the panel includes practitioners who will test how well you understand the role.
  • Follow the markets. Be ready to discuss a recent deal or market move and what it meant.
  • Apply in Session 1 or 2 so you have time to plan visas and housing in two countries.

If you are not yet sure finance is your field, a broader degree may suit you better: read our guide to ESCP MiM admissions or the ESCP Business School overview.
