Frequently asked questions

What GMAT score do I need for the IE Master in Finance?

IE sets no minimum but recommends 605 to 755 on the GMAT Focus Edition (the range for 80% of students) or 322 to 340 on the GRE. A CFA Level I or CAIA Level I result can also replace them.

Do I need work experience for the IE MiF?

No. Work experience is not a requirement, and the programme suits recent graduates and early-career professionals. The class average is around two years, though, so finance internships strengthen your case, especially for investment banking or private equity.

Should I choose the IE MiF or the IE Master in Management?

Choose the MiF if you are set on finance and strong in quantitative work: it is shorter, more technical and focused on banking and investing. Choose the Master in Management for a broad business base and time to explore other paths.
