How the IE MiM admissions process works
There are no rounds or fixed deadlines for the January 2027 or September 2027 intakes. Places are limited and offered first come, first served, and the whole process usually takes 4 to 6 weeks.
- Submit the online application and pay the €150 fee.
- Complete the online assessment: three timed questions, two answered on video and one in writing, taking 20 to 30 minutes.
- Take your entrance test.
- Interview with an admissions manager, in person or by video, focused on personality, critical thinking and communication.
- Receive a decision by email, usually within 1 to 3 weeks; offers hold for your intake and the next.
The ieGAT (IE Global Admissions Test) is an online, machine-proctored test of numerical, verbal and logical reasoning. It takes around 70 to 90 minutes, gives no graded score, penalises wrong answers and can be taken only once.
IE MiM tuition and career outcomes
IE MiM tuition is listed at €50,000, plus a one-off €1,200 contribution to the IE Foundation. Fees are reviewed every year.
For the class of 2024, IE reports that 95% of its business school master's graduates received a job offer within three months. Consulting (23%), finance (22%), technology (15%) and consumer, luxury and retail (14%) were the top sectors, and the report lists Europe (50%) and Spain (36%) as the main hiring locations. The report publishes no salary figures. QS ranked the programme 5th in the world in September 2025.
How to stand out in your application
- Treat the ieGAT as a one-shot exam. Practise timed numerical and logic questions, or send a GMAT or GRE score if you test well.
- Apply several months ahead, especially if you need a student visa.
- Make your personal statement specific: the industry you want, the skills you lack and why Madrid helps.
- Rehearse short video answers aloud. Our guide to grad school interview questions helps.

Frequently asked questions
What is the IE MiM acceptance rate?
IE does not publish an acceptance rate for the Master in Management, so treat any figure online as an estimate. Admission is holistic and rolling, so both the strength of your full file and your timing matter.
Do I need the GMAT for the IE Master in Management?
No. You can submit the ieGAT, GMAT or GRE, and IE publishes no minimum score. Use the GMAT or GRE if you already have a strong result; otherwise the ieGAT is convenient, but you get only one attempt.
How is the IE MiM different from the Master in Management and Strategy?
The Master in Management accepts graduates from any field with up to three years of experience. The Master in Management and Strategy expects a business, finance, economics or STEM background, relevant work experience and clear goals in strategy, consulting, finance or technology.
