How to stand out
- Define your post-MBA goal precisely: the industry, the role and the region, and why IE gets you there.
- Quantify your impact on your CV with results, team sizes and budgets.
- Consider the bilingual format if you are targeting Spain or Latin America, which together took over half of hires.
- Send a strong GMAT or GRE if you have one; otherwise prepare carefully for your single ieGAT attempt.

Frequently asked questions
What is the IE MBA acceptance rate?
IE does not publish an acceptance rate for the International MBA, so treat online figures as estimates. Your experience, test, video assessment and interview are reviewed together, and applying early improves your chance of a place in your preferred intake.
What IE MBA GMAT score do I need?
IE publishes no minimum or average GMAT score, and it also accepts the GRE or its own ieGAT. A strong, balanced score helps, especially if your degree was not quantitative. The ieGAT gives no graded score and allows one attempt.
How is the International MBA different from IE's Global MBA?
The International MBA is an 11-month, full-time programme in Madrid for people ready to step away from work for a year. The Global MBA lasts 18 months, is studied fully online or blended, and is built for professionals who keep their jobs while they study.
