LBS MiM Admissions: Requirements, Deadlines and Outcomes for 2027
LBS MiM admissions are designed for recent graduates: you must have graduated within the last two years, with no more than two years of post-graduation work experience. You need a strong degree (a UK 2:1, or a GPA of 3.3 or above), a GMAT or GRE score and convincing essays. With about 300 places, the Masters in Management is highly competitive.

What is the LBS Masters in Management and who is it for?
The Masters in Management is a full-time programme in London lasting 12 to 16 months, with the next intake in August 2027. Core courses in finance, accounting, economics, strategy, marketing and data analytics lead into more than 90 electives, LondonLAB projects and a Global Experience.
The MiM2026 class has 299 students, 51% women and 65 nationalities. LBS still lists the LBS Global Masters in Management, a two-year option with Fudan University's School of Management in Shanghai; its GMiM2026 class has 44 students.
What are the LBS MiM requirements?
- A completed undergraduate degree in any subject, equivalent to a UK First or 2:1, or a GPA of 3.3 or above.
- A GMAT, GMAT Focus or GRE score taken before you submit. There is no minimum, but LBS recommends a GMAT score of 555 or above.
- An English test (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge CPE or CAE, PTE Academic or Duolingo) unless you are a national of a majority English-speaking country or the committee waives it.
- A one-page CV, transcripts, essays and one reference, ideally from an employer or internship manager.
- A £125 application fee.
LBS MiM admissions: deadlines and process for 2027
LBS runs a staged calendar, with each deadline at 11.59pm UK time. The LBS MiM deadlines for the August 2027 intake are:
| Stage | Deadline |
|---|---|
| Stage 1 | 5 October 2026 (closed) |
| Stage 2 | 6 January 2027 |
| Stage 3 | 8 March 2027 |
| Stage 4 | 4 May 2027 |
Confirm the dates on the LBS application calendar before you submit, as LBS warns that competition is often intense in the final months.
The essays ask what motivates you, for evidence of leadership and teamwork, why you want an MiM and what you will bring to the community. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed virtually by alumni or the admissions team. Waitlisted candidates may complete a Kira video interview; our Kira Talent interview guide helps you prepare.
LBS MiM tuition and career outcomes
The LBS MiM tuition for the 2026 intake was around £52,950, plus a £200 Student Association Fee and the cost of Global Experience travel. Fees change each year.
According to the MiM employment report for the class of 2025, 92% received an offer within three months of graduating, and the mean salary was £41,229. Graduates went into finance (34%), consulting (30%) and technology (21%), and 54% stayed in the UK. Bain & Company and Boston Consulting Group were the largest hirers.
How to stand out in LBS MiM admissions
- Aim for Stage 2 rather than the final stages, while more places are open.
- Treat 555 as a floor, not a target. A strong quantitative score reassures the committee if your degree is not in business or economics.
- Make the "why MiM" essay concrete: name the industries and roles you are testing, and show why a general management degree, rather than a specialist one, fits that plan.
- If your strengths are data and coding, compare this programme with LBS MAM admissions, its analytics-focused sibling. For the wider picture, read our overview of London Business School.
Frequently asked questions
What is the LBS MiM GMAT score I should aim for?
LBS sets no minimum but recommends a GMAT score of 555 or above, and it accepts the GMAT, GMAT Focus and GRE. A score comfortably above that level helps most if your degree has little quantitative content.
Can I apply to the LBS MiM with work experience?
Yes, as long as you graduated within the last two years and have no more than two years of post-graduation work experience. Internships taken during your studies do not count towards that limit. With more experience, the LBS MBA or Masters in Finance may be a better fit.
What is the difference between the LBS MiM and the Global MiM?
The MiM is a 12 to 16 month programme taught in London. The Global Masters in Management lasts two years: the first in London and the second in Shanghai with Fudan, and graduates earn an MiM and an MSc in International Business.
