LSE MBA Admissions: Does LSE Offer an MBA and What to Apply For
If you are researching LSE MBA admissions, start with one fact: the London School of Economics does not offer a full-time MBA. Its only MBA degree is the TRIUM Global Executive MBA, run with HEC Paris and NYU Stern for senior leaders with 10 or more years of experience. Depending on your career stage, the closest real options are TRIUM, an executive master's or a pre-experience management master's.

Does LSE offer an MBA?
Not a full-time one. LSE is a social science university that teaches business through specialist departments, and in the 1960s it chose not to create a separate business school. Its management degrees are master's and MSc programmes, taught alongside economics, politics and statistics.
So when you search for an LSE MBA programme, the result that matches is TRIUM. It is an MBA jointly awarded by NYU, HEC Paris and LSE, but it is an executive format for people who keep working, not a one or two-year full-time degree.
Which LSE programme fits your profile?

LSE MBA admissions for experienced professionals
TRIUM Global Executive MBA. TRIUM asks for at least 10 years of professional experience (it typically looks for 10 to 15), with senior management experience preferred. The programme runs over 18 months in six modules, with 10 weeks in class across London, New York, Paris, Seoul, Nairobi and Dubai. The Class of 2029 starts in September 2027, and the next application deadline is 30 November 2026. Our guide to LSE EMBA admissions covers essays, interviews and fees in detail.
Executive Global Master's in Management. This is the closest thing to an LSE executive MBA under LSE's own name. You need a 2:1 or equivalent and at least five years of full-time, relevant work experience, and no GMAT or GRE is required. It starts in August 2027, with five modules in London and two abroad, and up to nine weeks away from work in total. It entered the QS Executive MBA Rankings in 2026 among the top 20 programmes globally.
Earlier in your career: LSE Master's in Management vs MBA
If you have little or no experience, a full-time MBA is not the right comparison yet. LSE's Master's in Management and Global Master's in Management are designed for graduates and lead into consulting, finance and technology roles; read our LSE MiM admissions guide. If finance is your goal, look at LSE MSc Finance admissions.
If you have three to eight years of experience and want a full-time MBA, be honest with yourself: LSE MBA admissions only apply to TRIUM, so your full-time shortlist will need other schools.
How to choose and stand out
- Decide whether you need the MBA title. In some industries and regions the letters matter; in others an LSE master's carries equal weight. Start from the life, industry and skills you want, then pick the degree.
- Check employer support. The Executive Global Master's asks for confirmation that your employer will release you for the classroom modules.
- Show scope, not just seniority. Evidence the teams, budgets and decisions you own; TRIUM also looks for international responsibility.
- Prepare your references early. For professional references, LSE expects a line manager or supervisor, never a friend or relative.

Frequently asked questions
Does LSE offer a full-time MBA?
No. LSE does not run a full-time MBA. Its only MBA is the TRIUM Global Executive MBA, an 18-month modular programme for senior professionals run with HEC Paris and NYU Stern. For graduates, LSE's alternatives are the Master's in Management and the Global Master's in Management, both full-time and pre-experience.
Is the LSE Executive Global Master's in Management the same as an MBA?
Not in name. It is a 17-month modular master's for professionals with at least five years of experience, covering core management subjects, and it appears in the QS Executive MBA Rankings 2026. The degree title is a master's in management, so consider how employers in your market read that title before you choose.
